Learning Guide: Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a time when many Americans are making a point to focus on gratitude and things they're thankful for. While this is a great time of year to be reminded of gratitude, it's also something we should be practicing all year long. One thing we ALL have in common our reliance on the Earth for life - the land we live on, the air we breathe, and the water we drink. This learning guide provides resources to explore the true history of Thanksgiving centering the voices of the Wampanoag nation, as well as activities, resources, and guiding questions for personal connections and meaning making about what it means to be connected to and grateful for the land we live on.
This guide is easily adaptable to ALL age groups with resources included for early years (PreK-3rd) as well as intermediate/secondary grades (4th+).
Included in this Guide:
1. 2 Book lists and additional learning resource lists
2. 2 Reading/Listening activities
